The Postal and Telegraphic Museum
Located in the Palacio de Comunicaciones, on the Plaza de Cibeles, the origins of this museum go back to 1904, when the Director General of the Spanish mail system decided to recover the artistic and historical collection of the institution to display it in a museum. In 1905, the inventory of the objects was begun. When the Palacio de las Comunicaciones opened in 1919, the collection of the museum was moved to that building. However, they were not displayed until 1980. It is one of Madrid's most curious museums, showing samples of telecommunication systems, the history of telephones until the 20s, the history of the postal service from the 18th century onwards, a stamp collection, paintings, etc.
