The forum for culture, economics and politics
The Max Liebermann Haus establishment was opened just next to the Brandenburg Gate by the Berlin Bankgesellschaft in March 2000. It was home to the German impressionist Max Liebermann, who also set up home there. Since then it has acted as a culture, economics and politics forum, as well as an exhibition centre. Subsidies for the centre are provided by the Brandenburg Gate Foundation of the Berlin Bankgesellschaft.
