The Palace on the Coudenberg square
The Palace plays host to royal receptions within the heart of Brussels, and is very rarely open to the general public. Its Louis XVI-style colonnaded façade is grand in the extreme, and conceals two ' Hôtels de maîtres' within. Wonderfully situated opposite the royal museums of the city, it dominates Place des Palais, in the centre of which stands a horseback statue of Godefroy de Bouillon.
