Roman'Gothic
'The purest expression of the ogival style', according to Victor Hugo. The Saint-Michel and Gudule Cathedral was built on a Roman site and re-built in 1220 in the gothic style. Since the fourteenth century, this beautiful building has played host to the greatest occasions such as the funeral of King Baudoin or the wedding of Prince Philippe and Mathilde.
