Siegessäule

Set in the heart of the Tiergarten, the Victory Column was designed and conceived in celebration of the Prussian military. The column and the many reliefs depicting battle scenes and marches are fashioned out of bronze and gold, and originate from melted-down cannons captured from the enemy. A spiral staircase leads to a panoramic platform from where the wide-sweeping view is exceptional, to say the least.
