A market of many colours
Since the Middle Ages, The Campo de' Fiori Square has been one of the liveliest places in the whole city, where the cardinals and aristocrats once mingled with fishmongers and pilgrims. Every morning (except Sundays), flower, fruit and vegetable stalls in all manner of colours surround the statue of Giordano Bruno, who was burned there for heresy in 1600.
