Evening time in Prenzlauer Berg on the Kollwitzstrasse just at the corner of the Danziger. Edward Hopper never came here.And yet the image is an appropiate one or almost; once you've passed the blue façade and the bright red door, it's not an image of desolate loneliness that opens out before us but rather the kitsch atmosphere of a tavern in the provinces. But that's okay because we'd prefer to have an image in our head of the ambiance that Hopper's photos produces than to experience it for ourselves.
