An exhibition of masterpieces
This is one of the most important exhibitions in Italy. The Brera Art Gallery contains such masterpieces as Raphaël's 'Sposalizio della Vergine', Mantegna's 'Cristo morto' and Piero della Francesca's 'Pala di Montefeltro'. The palace that is home to the art gallery, and which is also the site of the Fine Arts Academy of Brera, was constructed by the Jesuits between the end of the 16th century and the 17th century.
Its 31 rooms are set out in chronological order of construction. The temporary exhibitions are set up in the Salle de la Passione.
