A top quality museum featuring temporary exhibits
Built as a museum by Martin Gropius and Heino Schmieden between 1877 and 1881, it was left to run to ruins and was supposed to be razed after World War II. However, restoration work was started on the building at the end of the 70's. Today, it's one of the largest museums in Berlin showcasing excellent temporary exhibits.
Its location has now become a major plus since it is only a few steps away from the Potsdamer Platz.
